Hello there, and Happy Holidays! We know we’ve been a little remiss in our news letters over the last year, but we’re hoping you’ll forgive us when you see all we’ve been up to. This year has marked a lot of growth for Ringtail Cafe Productions, and our plans for next year are going to take things even further.
This year we were very happy to add several more people to the team. We have several new writers to welcome, who are taking on responsibilities on some of our titles, as well as artists who are taking on duties producing those books. We have entire teams devoted to seperate issues now. This means you should see issues of these books coming out more often. Several of the writers are also starting on new titles you’ll be seeing from us soon. We can’t speak on most of those yet, but the most notable is the fact we have an entire team devoted to continuing Ringtail Cafe, so expect to hear more from us about that one soon.
We’ve now got a full time colorist working on The Confectionaries, making our production of that title much faster. In fact, the next issue of The Confectionaries is going to be rolling out at the end of January. On top of that, we will be going straight into production of the next issue before that even hits print.
For those who aren’t aware, the original intention of The Confectionaries was to release them solely as graphic novels (with the Issue 0 being an introductory title), however we know people have been very patiently awaiting reading more about the adventures of these characters, so we have elected to do a -very limited- run of individual issues, for the first chapter of the series. If you are a collector, you will definitely want to get your hands on these.
Here is a sample of one of the pages:

Those of you following us on Facebook or Twitter might have noticed a lot of news coming in from our other website, theconfectionaries.com since that’s the title that has been our biggest focus right now. For those unaware of it, we are making a slight split between our websites. Ringtail Cafe’s site is intended as a general website about our titles, and the studio. The Confectionaries site is intended as the more all ages site, geared towards our younger readers, with games, activities, fun recipes, and other fun stuff. Oh, that’s right, did we mention games?
We’ve been starting to develop games based on our different series, and will be continuing to add new ones and update the ones we’ve already created. If you haven’t already, go check out the Scotch Flyer game on the confectionaries site!

Another fun feature that we’ve added to the site is our new Livestream channel, where you can actually watch us work on art, and even occassionally working on actual pages of the comic. Not to mention, those of you who make use of the online commission form can actually request to watch us do your commission in real time. How cool is that? We’d also like to remind everyone that because of our hectic schedule producing comics, we take very few commissions, so if you want to make sure to get one, don’t hesitate!
You’ll also hear some news from us in the new year about an upcoming special event. We will be getting together with several other publishing studios and hosting a fun event, in the spirit of friendly competition. Each team will be producing an 8 page comic, based on random themes selected over the course of a weekend. There should be some hilarious results!
One last thing to mention is that you might notice is that Ringtail Cafe Productions has become the sponsors of several Conventions, and events. We’re very proud to be a part of these events, and hope that you’ll check them out. These conventions and events have been great to us in the past, and more often than not are your first chance to pick up exclusive items from us. We’re going to have some very cool new products in the upcoming year.
Sorry for the long, rambling wall of text but we’ve just had so much going on, and so much to share. If you want to keep in the loop, the best way is to check out our website, facebook, twitter, or follow our RSS feed. Be sure to drop in on our livestream nights to watch us create stuff!
And once again, hoping everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.
